UFC 288 Fighter Revitalizes Paddy Pimblett Interest, Promises To Serve Him “The Humble Pie He Needs”

He may not have fought in close to five months and be facing an extended spell on the sidelines, but that hasn’t stopped Paddy Pimblett’s name from coming up ahead of this weekend’s pay-per-view.

On Saturday, the UFC will return to Newark, New Jersey, for the first time since 2019 for its latest numbered event. While not exactly a stacked card, UFC 288 still boasts a number of big names and intriguing matchups.

In addition to that including the headlining championship fight at bantamweight and the crucial welterweight co-main event, the featured preliminary scrap between lightweights Drew Dober and Matt Frevola is also being widely earmarked as a potential Fight of the Night contender.

But while the pair will have their eyes on each other this weekend, they’ve both addressed a possible future clash with “The Baddy.”

Frevola: ‘Pimblett Needs To Be Humbled’

During UFC 288 media day on Wednesday, Dober explained why a date in the Octagon with Pimblett didn’t come to fruition last year, claiming that the Liverpool native rejected the matchup and is also being “protected.”
