UFC superstar Conor McGregor had an interesting reaction to Matt Brown’s victory at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Almeida.
Brown earned an impressive one-punch knockout over Court McGee in Charlotte this weekend. He got back in the win column after a split-decision loss to Bryan Barberena last year.
Brown has been a mainstay in the UFC since he earned a shot in the promotion following a run on The Ultimate Fighter 7. He’s gone on to have a solid UFC career with wins over the likes of Stephen Thompson, Diego Sanchez, and Tim Means.
Ahead of his anticipated return to the Octagon later this year, McGregor remains in tune with what’s going on around the promotion. After watching Brown tie the UFC’s all-time knockouts record, McGregor envisions himself atop the list by the time he hangs up the gloves.
Conor McGregor: I’m Getting The Knockouts Record
In a recent tweet, McGregor vowed to chase down Brown and UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis for the UFC’s all-time knockouts record.
Matt Brown, at 42 years of age, now holds the joint highest KO’s inside the UFC with 13KO’s. Him and “The Beast” Lewis are tied. I hold 8 KO’s inside the UFC currently, at 34 years of age.
I’m getting this record.— Conor McGregor…
