Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou sponged a lot of lessons from his time working with Boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson.
Ngannou has garnered praise from around combat sports after narrowly losing to Tyson Fury on Saturday in Saudi Arabia by split decision. The fight was an instant classic from start to finish, with Ngannou challenging the lineal heavyweight champion Fury throughout the action.
Ngannou silenced his detractors after putting on an incredible performance against Fury. After earning an early knockdown, “The Predator” had plenty of highlights in the ring and nearly pulled off the all-time upset.
Ahead of his boxing debut, Ngannou learned from Tyson to prepare for the behemoth task that comes with facing a fighter of Fury’s caliber. In light of his electric performance, “Iron Mike” has been given a lot of credit for adequately preparing Ngannou for the challenge.
