LFA Lightweight Champion JaCobi Jones has learned a lot from Terence Crawford in and out of fighting.
Jones will appear on Dana White’s Contender Series for a three-round matchup against Daniel James Allen. He has the opportunity to become the latest former LFA champion to make the leap to the UFC.
Jones is from a small neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Colorado in 2014 to begin his combat sports career on the Colorado State wrestling team.
Growing up in Nebraska, Jones has kept a close eye on fellow Nebraskan and boxing superstar Crawford. “Bud” most recently defeated Errol Spence Jr. in their superfight and put on an all-time great showing in the ring.
“Big Toe” and Crawford have become friends over the years and have had numerous conversations about life, fighting, and adversity. Jones considers Crawford a brother as he prepares for his September 19 DWCS fight.
